About Us
We are a group of young people from the
hamlet of Birchdale, a very small community
way up in northern Minnesota.
We play stringed acoustic instruments in the
bluegrass, country and folk music styles.
Three of us also play in a family band called Sloughgrass.
We started Ditchgrade in the spring of 2010
to challenge ourselves and help each other
grow musically.
The Band members are:
Gary Hultman - Guitar, Resonator guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Lead vocals.
Sofia Olesen - Fiddle, Mandolin, vocals.
Holger Olesen - Lead vocal, Resonator guitar.
Maria Lewis - Lead vocal, Upright bass.
